A Hero

Rahim Soltani (Amir Jadidi) has been in prison over a debt he could not repay, and he comes out on a two-day leave with a plan to settle part of it. He needs his creditor, Bahram (Mohsen Tanabandeh), to withdraw the complaint in return for a partial payment. Asghar Farhadi follows Rahim through those two days, a quiet, polite man who keeps making the case for himself, and the film never lets us settle on who he really is.
