A Late Quartet

“No arrangement is more beautiful … or more complicated.”

Peter Mitchell (Christopher Walken), the cellist of a string quartet that has played together for twenty-five years, is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness just before the anniversary season begins. Yaron Zilberman puts Peter in a room with Robert Gelbart (Philip Seymour Hoffman) and the others, and old resentments surface. Peter has to decide how to leave the instrument he has built his life around, and who he trusts to hear him do it.
