A Lesson in Love

David Erneman (Gunnar Björnstrand), a Stockholm gynecologist, boards a train to Copenhagen after fifteen years of marriage and a good many affairs on both sides. His wife Marianne (Eva Dahlbeck) is going the same way, and the two of them end up in each other's company again. Ingmar Bergman plays it as farce, but Marianne is the one who has to decide what she still wants from him.
