A Little Romance

(1979)Directed by George Roy Hill108 min · PGComedy, Romance
“America is having a love affair with "A Little Romance"”

Lauren King (Diane Lane), a bookish American girl in Paris, meets Daniel Michon (Thelonious Bernard), a French boy who loves movies, and her mother forbids her to see him. The two team up with Julius (Laurence Olivier), an old pickpocket, to run off to Venice, where a kiss beneath the Bridge of Sighs is said to keep a couple together forever. George Roy Hill follows the trip at the children's own height, treating their plan with complete seriousness.
