A Man and a Woman

(1966)Directed by Claude Lelouch102 minDrama, Romance
“See it with someone you love!”

Anne Gauthier (Anouk Aimée) and Jean-Louis Duroc (Jean-Louis Trintignant) are strangers when they meet on a Sunday evening at their children's boarding school, and neither says much about who they were before. Each carries a dead spouse, and the memories surface slowly as they begin to talk. Claude Lelouch moves between full color, black-and-white and sepia, set to Francis Lai's score.
