“Robert Bresson's Prize Winning Film”

Fontaine (François Leterrier), a French Resistance fighter captured by the Germans, is held in Montluc prison and begins working out how to get out. Robert Bresson, adapting the memoir of André Devigny, keeps close on the small tasks of the plan and the sounds that carry through the walls. Then Jost (Charles Le Clainche) is put in his cell, and Fontaine has to decide how far to trust a stranger.
