A Man from the Boulevard des Capucines

Johnny First (Andrey Mironov) steps off the stage in the frontier town of Santa Carolina with a Cinematograph and a plan to show the saloon crowd moving pictures. The gunmen and drinkers, among them Black Jack (Mikhail Boyarskiy), have never seen anything like it. Alla Surikova fills the story with songs, and Johnny's shy, hopeful pull toward the saloon singer Diana Little (Aleksandra Yakovleva) is the tune it keeps returning to.
