A Mighty Heart

“One woman dared to keep hope alive.”

Mariane Pearl (Angelina Jolie), a journalist six months pregnant, wants one thing in Karachi: her husband Daniel (Dan Futterman) back home, after the Wall Street Journal reporter sets out to meet a source and does not return. Michael Winterbottom, working from Mariane's own memoir, follows the search through the first days. Phones ring, maps go up on the walls, and Mariane waits at the centre of it, listening for his voice.
