A Moment in the Reeds

Leevi (Janne Puustinen) comes back from university in Paris to a Finnish lake house his estranged father wants to sell, and a hired hand named Tareq (Boodi Kabbani), a recent asylum seeker from Syria, is already there to help with the repairs. Mikko Mäkelä sets their summer of renovation work at the lake's edge. When the father leaves for town, Leevi is left alone with Tareq, with Paris waiting in the fall and nothing settled between them.
