“Are you ready?”

Seymour (Zachary Knighton) is a young American with no plan and no one waiting for him, drifting through a decaying city in Eastern Europe. He fixes on Melania (Anna Mouglalis), a woman who keeps slipping out of reach, and the pursuit draws him toward an underworld run on possession. Philippe Grandrieux shoots in smeared, grainy darkness, so the viewer keeps losing the edges of things along with Seymour.
