In the Gavaskar house, the family is preparing for the arrival of Jay (Jonathan Groff), a photographer who was adopted by Indian parents and has never met his fiancé's relatives. Roshan Sethi follows Naveen (Karan Soni), a doctor, as he walks Jay through the door and into a household with firm ideas about what an Indian wedding looks like. Jay wants the family to take him as he is, and Naveen is caught between them.
