A Nightmare on Elm Street

“Welcome to your new nightmare.”

On a quiet street of neighborhood friends, Nancy Holbrook (Rooney Mara), Quentin Smith (Kyle Gallner) and the rest of their group start having the same dream. In it, a horribly disfigured man in a tattered sweater and a glove of knives comes for them, and waking is the only way out. Samuel Bayer, working from the 1984 original, builds the remake around that one rule, that to stay alive the friends have to stay awake.
