A Pain in the Ass

Ralf Milan (Lino Ventura) is a professional hitman who checks into a hotel in Montpellier, a job to finish and a witness to kill. The room next door belongs to François Pignon (Jacques Brel), a man left so frayed by his wife's departure that he cannot stop making his trouble everyone else's. Molinaro puts the two in a hallway and a pair of adjoining walls, and the killer finds he cannot get rid of the neighbor, or stop being pulled into his life.
