“Radio like you've never seen it before.”

Nobody on the staff will say why tonight's broadcast of a long-running radio show is the last, but everyone backstage seems to know. GK (Garrison Keillor) hosts while the sisters Yolanda (Meryl Streep) and Rhonda Johnson (Lily Tomlin) sing, and the cowboys Dusty (Woody Harrelson) and Lefty trade jokes in the wings. Robert Altman moves his camera through the dressing rooms and hallways the way a visitor might wander through, catching talk in passing.
