A Prayer for the Dying

In 1987 England, Martin Fallon (Mickey Rourke), a former I.R.A. hitman, is trying to put his past behind him. A job goes wrong when Father Michael Da Costa (Bob Hoskins), a Catholic priest, sees what he does. Mike Hodges keeps the film quiet and unhurried, holding on faces and silences while the people around Martin come to share his danger.
