A Question of Silence

Three women who have never met kill a male shopkeeper in the middle of the day, and none of them offers a reason. Janine van den Bos (Cox Habbema), the psychiatrist assigned to the case, begins questioning Christine M. (Edda Barends), Annie (Nelly Frijda) and Andrea (Henriëtte Tol) to find out why. Marleen Gorris, in her first feature, treats the act as a problem of whose experience counts as evidence, and who has been listening all along.
