A Real Pain

“Join the family.”

David Kaplan (Jesse Eisenberg) and his cousin Benji (Kieran Culkin) fly to Poland to join a Jewish heritage tour in honor of their late grandmother. Eisenberg, who also directed, puts them in a group with James (Will Sharpe), Marcia (Jennifer Grey) and Eloge (Kurt Egyiawan), all walking through the places their families came from. David is careful and anxious, Benji says whatever he feels, and the old tension between them comes along on the trip.
