Alice Bonnard (Charlotte Alexandra) comes home to her parents' house for another summer vacation, sulking and in no mood to be there. Catherine Breillat lets the days run slow and feverish, and Alice's fantasies bleed into what is actually happening around her. The one person she keeps circling is Jim (Hiram Keller), a young man who works at her father's firm, and what passes between them is curiosity more than comfort.
