A River Runs Through It

(1992)Directed by Robert Redford123 min · PGDrama
“Nothing perfect lasts forever. Except in our memories.”

Norman Maclean (Craig Sheffer) grows up in rural Montana wanting to understand his younger brother Paul (Brad Pitt), who handles a fly rod like it's part of his arm. Their father, Reverend Maclean (Tom Skerritt), teaches both boys scripture and casting on the same river. Robert Redford follows them from boyhood into the years when Norman leaves for college back east and Paul stays behind, restless and hard to reach.
