A Short Film About Killing

Jacek (Mirosław Baka) is a young man drifting through Warsaw, and one day he climbs into the taxi of Waldemar (Jan Tesarz) and tells him to drive somewhere remote. There he strangles him, with no motive anyone can point to. Krzysztof Kieślowski sets the killing beside the state's own cold, orderly way of putting a man to death, and asks us to look at both plainly.
