A Short Film About Love

Every night in Warsaw, nineteen-year-old Tomek (Olaf Lubaszenko) points a pair of binoculars at the apartment across the courtyard. Magda (Grażyna Szapołowska), the artist who lives there, is in her mid-thirties, and he watches the men who come and go. Kieślowski sets the two of them on either side of one glass window, and what pulls them together is how much more they share than either would guess.
