A Simple Twist of Fate

“A twist of fate brought them something wonderful... Each other!”

One night a wild young man breaks into the house of Michael McCann (Steve Martin), a miser who has spent every spare dollar on collectible gold coins, and walks off with all of it. McCann, bitter since the woman he loved threw him over, takes the theft as proof of what he already believed about people. Gillies MacKinnon has the loss land just as a small girl arrives at his door, and with her comes a second chance for a man who has shut everyone out.
