A Single Man
George (Colin Firth) is a British college professor in Los Angeles in 1962, still unable to picture a future eight months after the death of his partner Jim (Matthew Goode). Tom Ford, in his first film as director, follows him through a single day, from the morning routine to an evening with his old friend Charley (Julianne Moore). What George decides by nightfall is whether any meaning is left for him.
