A Slightly Pregnant Man

“Nobody was expecting this!”

A run of nauseous, dizzy spells sends Marco Mazetti (Marcello Mastroianni), a driving instructor, to the doctor, where he learns he is four months pregnant. His wife Irène (Catherine Deneuve) and their young son are still at home, and Dr Delavigne (Micheline Presle) is the one who has to say it out loud. Jacques Demy puts a quiet family man in front of the whole world's attention, and everything Marco has built starts to depend on how he handles it.
