A Sudden Case of Christmas

“As long as there's love, there's Christmas.”

Lawrence Armanetti (Danny DeVito) wants to spend Christmas alone, but his estranged daughter Rose (Andie MacDowell) and her two children show up unannounced at his door. He resists the intrusion, the noise, the sudden demands on his solitude, while Rose tries to stitch the family back together. What emerges is the discovery that being alone and being lonely are not the same thing.
