A Summer at Grandpa's

Tung-tung (Wong Kai-Gwong) and his little sister Ting-ting (Lee Suk-Ching) are sent to their grandparents' house in the country for the summer, while their mother lies in a hospital bed in critical care. Hou Hsiao-hsien, drawing on his own childhood, lets the days pass in the open air. Out there the brother and sister have mostly each other, and the film stays close to how they look after one another.
