A Tale of Love and Desire

Ahmed (Sami Outalbali), 18, grew up in the Parisian suburbs in a French-Algerian family, and he wants to be nothing worse than a good student. At the university he meets Farah (Zbeida Belhajamor), who has just arrived from Tunis, and in a literature course he finds the erotic Arabic poetry no one ever showed him. Leyla Bouzid follows a young man who is overwhelmed by desire and tries hard to hold it off, and every page he reads makes holding it off harder.
