A Taxi Driver

“Based on true events, an untold story of a taxi driver.”

In May 1980, Kim Man-seob (Song Kang-ho) is a Seoul taxi driver raising his young daughter alone, and he hears a foreigner will pay big money for a ride down to Gwangju. The passenger is Jürgen Hinzpeter (Thomas Kretschmann), a German journalist whose reasons for the trip Man-seob never asks about. Jang Hoon puts the two men in a cab, a hand-to-hand fare that is the only thing keeping the rent paid.
