A Throw of Dice

In 1929, two neighboring kings, the cousins Ranjit (Charu Roy) and Sohat (Himansu Rai), both gamble and both want Sunita (Seeta Devi), the young daughter of the hermit Kanwa (Sarada Gupta). Franz Osten adapts an episode from the Mahabharata, with Sohat's henchman Kirkbar (Modhu Bose) at his side. Sunita is the one stake that matters, and the dice wait on the table between the two men.
