A Time for Drunken Horses

Ayoub (Ayoub Ahmadi) is a boy in a Kurdish village on the Iran-Iraq border, and he is now the one who has to feed his siblings after their father dies. He and his sister Rojin (Rojin Younessi) have to find work wherever it is offered, while Amaneh (Amaneh Ekhtiar-dini) is sick and needs money for treatment. Bahman Ghobadi shot it in his own village with non-professional actors, and Ayoub's face is what stays in the frame.
