A Touch of Sin

Dahai (Jiang Wu) is a miner in a Shanxi village who cannot stop looking at how his neighbors' fortunes have been carved up by corruption. Jia Zhangke follows four people across China, among them Zhou San (Wang Baoqiang), a migrant who finds a firearm in his hands, and Xiao Yu (Zhao Tao), a receptionist worn down by one client. Each of them is a single bad day from the violence the film is named for.
