A Very Curious Girl
“The story of the town amateur who lost her standing...among other things.”
Marie (Bernadette Lafont) lives with her mother in a shack at the edge of a small French town, where the villagers use her and pay her nothing for it. Then she begins charging the men, and the same people who shunned her start climbing the hill to her door. Nelly Kaplan, who also edited and co-wrote the film, ends on Marie herself, the outcast who now sets the price.
