A Walk in the Woods

“When you push yourself to the edge, the real fun begins.”

Back in the U.S. after twenty years in England, Bill Bryson (Robert Redford) decides the way to reconnect with his homeland is to walk the Appalachian Trail. His wife Catherine (Emma Thompson) wants him to take someone along, and the only one who says yes is Stephen Katz (Nick Nolte), an old friend with a bad knee and a worse record. Ken Kwapis sends two men past sixty up a trail that stretches for miles, with neither of them in shape for it.
