A War

“Duty goes beyond the battlefield.”

Claus Michael Pedersen (Pilou Asbæk) wants his company to come home from Helmand with every man alive, and he leads them out on patrol in a province where civilians stand between his soldiers and the Taliban. In Denmark, Maria (Tuva Novotny) keeps three children fed and calm while their father is far away. Tobias Lindholm cuts between the two worlds, and the phone calls home are all that connects them.
