A Woman Under the Influence

“A woman of today, her world, her passions.”

Mabel Longhetti (Gena Rowlands) keeps trying to make a happy home in Los Angeles, but her behavior around other people grows stranger and harder for her family to explain. Her husband Nick (Peter Falk), a municipal construction worker, decides she is a danger to their three children and has her committed. John Cassavetes follows what is left at stake: the marriage, the kids, and whether Mabel can come back to any of it.
