Abel

In a Dutch household built around one grown son, Abel (Alex van Warmerdam) has never once stepped outside. His father Victor (Henri Garcin) has run out of doctors, so he brings home Christine (Loes Luca) to teach him how to talk to people, and his wife Duif (Olga Zuiderhoek) hears an affair in it. Alex van Warmerdam directs and stars, and what the family has done to Abel is put plainly, as the thing a household does when it cannot say what it wants.
