Samet (Deniz Celiloğlu) is an art teacher counting down his last year in a remote Anatolian village, certain a transfer to Istanbul is coming. Nuri Bilge Ceylan brings in Nuray (Merve Dizdar), a fellow teacher whose talks with Samet leave neither of them where they began.
