“Making love was easy...being in love difficult.”

Danny Martin (Rob Lowe) and Debbie (Demi Moore) meet in Chicago and end up in bed, and neither plans on it turning into anything. Edward Zwick follows the two of them as they try to make a real relationship while Danny's loudmouthed friend Bernie Litgo (Jim Belushi) and Debbie's roommate Joan (Elizabeth Perkins) keep weighing in. Danny has never been serious about anyone, and he is about to find out what that takes.
