About Schmidt

“Schmidt Happens.”

Warren Schmidt (Jack Nicholson) retires from his insurance job in Omaha and finds he has no idea what the days are for. His wife, Helen (June Squibb), is still there, but his daughter Jeannie (Hope Davis) is about to marry into a family he barely knows. Alexander Payne sends him on the road to the wedding, where a man who spent his life at one desk has to say what he has left to show for it.
