Above the Rim

“Some games you play. Some games play you.”

Kyle Lee Watson (Duane Martin) is a high school basketball star who wants a college scholarship and a way out of his neighborhood. Two brothers pull at him: Birdie (Tupac Shakur), a drug dealer with money and a hold on the streets, and Shep (Leon), a former hoops standout now working as a security guard. Jeff Pollack's film turns on Kyle caught between them, each brother offering him a different version of who he could become.
