Abracadabra

In working-class Madrid, Carmen (Maribel Verdú) is a housewife trying to keep her family steady beside her husband Carlos (Antonio de la Torre), a man who barely notices her. After a hypnotist's trick at a wedding, he is suddenly not himself, as if another presence has taken over. Pablo Berger plays it loud and warm, with Carmen caught between the husband she knows and the stranger wearing his face, and her marriage and household riding on getting him back.
