Abuse of Weakness

Maud Schoenberg (Isabelle Huppert) is a filmmaker who wakes one morning partially paralyzed by a stroke, and she badly wants to get back to work. She settles on casting Vilko Piran (Kool Shen), a notorious con man she has seen on television, and he starts coming to her house. Catherine Breillat, drawing on her own experience, follows Maud as she keeps trusting him and keeps handing over what she has.
