Accident

“The story of a love triangle... and the four people trapped in it!”

Stephen (Dirk Bogarde) is an Oxford philosophy don who has settled into a marriage and a teaching life that no longer ask anything of him. Then one of his students, William (Michael York), brings home his fiancée Anna (Jacqueline Sassard), and Stephen cannot stop thinking about her. Joseph Losey tells it through flashbacks that circle a car crash, and Stephen keeps his wanting quiet and polite, the way a man does when he has too much to lose.
