“Sometimes you nail love. Sometimes it nails you.”

A nail lodges in the head of Alice Eckle (Jessica Biel), a small town waitress, and her behavior turns unpredictable enough to send her to Washington, DC. There she meets Howard Birdwell (Jake Gyllenhaal), a clueless young senator who takes up her cause, and David O. Russell keeps the two of them tumbling through the capital's hallways. Falling for someone is easy, but the film wants to know whether you can keep what you stand for once you have.
