Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

“He's the best there is! (Actually, he's the only one there is.)”

Miami in 1994, and the Dolphins have lost their dolphin mascot, taken just before the big game. Ace Ventura (Jim Carrey) is a pet detective who takes the case, working from the team's side of the investigation with Melissa (Courteney Cox) and ready to follow any trail, from a stakeout to a shark tank. Tom Shadyac builds the film around Carrey's rubber face and loose limbs, and lets him run loud through every scene.
