Actors
Pierre Arditi (Pierre Arditi) wants a part, and so does every other celebrated French actor in his circle, among them Jean-Paul Belmondo (Jean-Paul Belmondo) and Alain Delon (Alain Delon). Bertrand Blier plays them as versions of themselves, living pretend lives in Paris. If the roles dry up, the men who have been Paris's famous faces for decades lose the only name they have.
