“A Comedy About Lost Loves And Last Laughs”

Sam (Matthew Broderick), an astronomer, drives to New York and moves into the abandoned building across from the apartment of Linda (Kelly Preston), who left him for a Frenchman. He sets up a telescope and watches, sure she will leave Anton (Tchéky Karyo) and come back. Maggie (Meg Ryan) turns up with her own grudge against the same man, and Griffin Dunne plays the whole thing as a comedy.
