Portia Nathan (Tina Fey) has read applications for Princeton for years, and she arrives at a small alternative high school on a routine recruiting visit. Its head, John Pressman (Paul Rudd), is a former classmate of hers, and he thinks one of his gifted, unruly students, Jeremiah (Nat Wolff), is the son she gave up for adoption. Paul Weitz puts Portia in a Princeton office, a stack of applications in front of her.
