Filipa (Laura Neiva) is a teenager in 1980s Brazil whose summer starts to turn when she learns her father, Matias (Vincent Cassel), has been unfaithful to her mother. Heitor Dhalia sets the film in the same weeks that she is becoming aware of her own body and what other people want from it. Filipa watches the house, her mother Clarice (Débora Bloch), and the people around them, with the heat sitting on everything.
