A dead elephant lies in Cameroon with its tusks cut away, and Gonzalo (Luis Tosar), an environmental activist, is left to face what remains. Elsewhere, a six-year-old boy and his sister crouch beside an airstrip, waiting to slip into a plane's hold. Salvador Calvo follows three separate stories toward the same crossing, and the film is plain about it: in Europe's borders, one person's rules are another's last chance.
